The inauguration of ADEI WIZO’s new year of activities took place on Monday, September 28, at 5:00 PM. The event was hosted in the Community Sukkah—decorated with colorful drawings created by the school children—which welcomed participants into a warm and relaxed atmosphere. A diverse crowd filled the space: women of all ages, a few husbands, and many children playing happily in the outdoor areas.
The afternoon opened with remarks from Rabbi Finzi, who highlighted the profound symbolic value of the Sukkah and the significance of launching the association’s new year of activities within it. The Rabbi expressed his gratitude to ADEI, emphasizing the fundamental role women play in keeping the community united through their steadfast commitment and wide range of initiatives.
Next, there was a review of the many activities carried out over the past year and a presentation of proposals for the future, accompanied by an invitation for all the women present to collaborate actively—including by contributing new ideas and energy.
One of the highlights was the presentation of a *Teudà* (certificate of appreciation) to lawyer Gaia Bertolin, recognizing the invaluable assistance and essential collaboration she has provided to the association. Along with the certificate, she received a personal gift and a donation earmarked for the reconstruction of the Ramat Poleg kindergarten in Netanya.
Afterward, Giulia Levi Sorani shared with the attendees the moving experience of the meeting held in Bra on September 6th. Together with Catholic and Muslim representatives, Giulia took part in a fruitful exchange of views centered on the biblical story of Abraham’s tent, offering valuable insights for reflection on interfaith dialogue.
The afternoon concluded with refreshments provided by the ADEI Council—highlighted by a magnificent fruit basket—creating the perfect setting for a pleasant moment of sharing. Amidst a convivial atmosphere, the event ended with the hope of meeting again soon for upcoming scheduled gatherings.
