Evelina Meghnagi's monologue narrates the exodus from Tripoli, in memory and music; an amateur choir and percussionist enhance this moving performance. Di Lucia Levi.

“The Sea Sings – Evelina Meghnagi Tells Us About It…” is the title of the show organized by the Rome-based cultural association Nodedim (= “wanderers”) in Turin on Saturday evening, November 22nd.
A beautiful and heartbreaking monologue that retraces the heartbreak of a little girl who suddenly has to leave Tripoli, Libya, her homeland, without even being able to take her favorite doll. The music, the smells, and the sensations are the baggage of memories that accompanied her arrival in Italy, combined with a curiosity for the new, always seen through the eyes of a child. The struggle to transition from stateless to becoming Italian, her studies, and her professional fulfillment are the next steps. Evelina Meghnagi emphasized the difference between her, fortunate to have arrived by plane and with a good knowledge of the language, and those who arrive by other means and without knowledge of the language.
