The 2026 edition of “Places of the Heart,” an initiative promoted by FAI in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, also includes numerous places linked to Italian Jewish history and culture. Synagogues, historic cemeteries, and ancient Jewish neighborhoods have been included among the assets that citizens and associations can support through popular vote.
The census represents one of the most important tools for promoting the protection and enhancement of Italy’s cultural heritage. The places receiving the highest number of votes will be eligible for financial contributions for restoration, conservation, and promotion projects. For the 2026 edition, votes can be cast until December 15, 2026.
Participating in the census is not merely a symbolic gesture. The votes collected can contribute concretely to the preservation of buildings, monuments, and historical testimonies that tell the story of centuries of Jewish presence in Italy. Each vote cast helps raise the profile of these places and increases the chances of obtaining resources for their restoration and enhancement.
