Three years after the tragic massacre of October 7, the Jewish Community of Turin, the Jewish Studies Group, the Camis de Fonseca Association, the Jewish Community of Casale Monferrato, “Left for Israel – Two Peoples, Two States,” “Italy-Israel Piedmont,” and the Italy-Israel Association have chosen to jointly organize four commemorative events.
On Tuesday, October 6, a commemorative gathering organized by the UCEI will take place following the Arvit prayer service.
On Wednesday, October 7, at 6:00 PM, the first event will be a discussion titled “The Dark Thread of Global Terrorism: From Putin to Hamas,” featuring distinguished speakers: Pina Picierno, Carlo Romeo, Gabriele Segre, and Gianni Vernetti. Sergio Rovasio will moderate the discussion.
Afterwards, the commemoration will move to Piazzetta Primo Levi for a public moment of remembrance and reflection.
At 9:00 PM, the day will conclude at the Community Center with *Shirim – In Canto per Israele* (Songs – Singing for Israel): an artistic event where music and poetry give voice to emotions, memories, and shared experiences, featuring an introduction by Sarah Kaminski, vocals by Maria Teresa Milano, and guitar by Dario Littera.
