At the heart of the narrative is the story of Corrado, a musician experiencing a profound personal crisis who, following an unexpected discovery, embarks on a search for his unknown father. Having survived Auschwitz and remained stubbornly silent throughout his life, his father becomes the starting point for a journey that intertwines memory, identity, and family history.
Through progressive revelations and confrontations with a long-hidden past, the novel leads the protagonist toward an understanding of painful truths and bonds that time has failed to dissolve, reflecting on the weight of the legacy of the Holocaust on subsequent generations.
