The People of the Book. Books and pamphlets from the Terracini Archive. On the occasion of the 2025 European Day of Jewish Culture, themed “The People of the Book”, the permanent exhibition will be enriched with books and pamphlets from the Terracini Jewish Archive

11:00 AM – Guided walk around the houses that were part of the city’s ghetto, no reservation required

Concert-performance Tiqqun by Project Davka, with Maurizio Di Veroli, Eleonora Graziosi, Daniele Ercoli and Desiree Infascelli

ADEI Wizo will manage a stand inside the Social Center with Judaica items, embroidered matzah placemats, Jewish cookbooks, and novels that have participated in various years of the “Adelina della Pergola” literary competition. The new production of Mondovì plates will also be available for purchase.

Meeting “The Jewish book as a material object and documentary source”. Followed by the inauguration of the exhibition “Jewish Books in Turin. Documents and books from the State Archives and the Terracini Jewish Archive”. The exhibition will remain open for the entire following month and will be accompanied by a calendar of guided tours.
Organized by University of Turin, Terracini Jewish Archive and State Archives of Turin.

  • Guided tours of the synagogues in Alessandria, Asti, Carmagnola, Cuneo, Mondovì and Saluzzo from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (hourly, last tour at 6:00 PM)
    Addresses: Alessandria, Via Milano 7 – Asti, Via Ottolenghi 8 – Carmagnola, Via Bertini 8 – Cuneo, Contrada Mondovì 20 – Mondovì, Via Vico 65 – Saluzzo, Via Deportati Ebrei.
  • Cherasco: synagogue visits – Via Marconi 4 – from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with break from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM
    Tours are hourly, last morning tour at 12:30 PM and afternoon tour at 5:30 PM
  • Chieri: in collaboration with the Public Administration and the Carreum Potentia cultural association, walk from the ghetto to the cemeteries at 3:00 PM.

  • Ivrea: walk through the street that hosted the city’s ghetto at 11:00 AM

  • Ivrea: visit to the Jewish cemetery at 3:30 PM
