The Waldensian Methodist group Voce di Shalom is promoting a meeting for in-depth discussion and reflection on one of the most complex and debated topics in the contemporary political and cultural landscape: Zionism and its many facets.
The event aims to offer a historical, political, and theological interpretation capable of distinguishing between Zionism, Zionism, and anti-Zionism, highlighting the plurality of currents, interpretations, and positions that have permeated the Jewish world and international debate over time. In a public context often marked by simplifications and polarizations, the meeting aims to be a space for rigorous analysis, dialogue, and critical debate.
The evening’s speaker will be Daniele Garrone, a former professor at the Waldensian Faculty of Theology, an Old Testament scholar, and a leading figure in Jewish-Christian dialogue in Italy. His biblical and theological expertise, combined with a constant attention to contemporary cultural and political dynamics, will provide participants with solid and well-documented interpretative tools to navigate this sensitive and timely subject.
