Sounds and Images for Boris Carmeli
Alberto Cavaglion talks with Corrado Rollin (artistic director of the Baretti Theatre).
A tribute to a great artist and his extraordinary journey, narrated in the book Nella notte straniera.
In 1943, Norbert Wolfinger was fifteen years old. From Poland, he had crossed Europe, fleeing Nazism, which had decimated his family, until he reached the Alpine village of Saint-Martin-Vésubie.
With the armistice of September 8th, he managed to cross the Alps following the Italian Fourth Army.
He would become Boris Carmeli, the internationally renowned bass whose voice resonates in a cinematic masterpiece: Federico Fellini’s E la nave va.
The event poster is available.
