On December 2, 2025, Milan will host an important day of reflection and discussion dedicated to the dialogue between religious communities and civil society. This will include institutional presentations, testimonials, social and legal analyses, as well as cultural events and direct encounters with the communities.
In the morning, at the Royal Palace (Hall of Eight Columns), a discussion will be held on religious dynamics in plural cities, with academics and institutional representatives, and the European project RE.TO — Religions & Tolerance, dedicated to building a European network on dialogue and tolerance, will be presented.
In the afternoon, at the Ambrosianeum Foundation (Falck Hall), there will be a tour of the exhibition Faith and War, a photographic journey that recounts conflicts around the world and the role of faith in bearing witness to war through the eyes of various photographers.
This will be followed by a session of presentations dedicated to concrete experiences in the city: from the oratory as a place of interreligious encounter, to iftar in the square, to the dialogue between the Islamic center and the local community, to the work of the Shoah Memorial in educating young people about peace.
This day represents a precious opportunity to demonstrate that in cities like Milan, Turin, and Brescia, spaces for coexistence, dialogue, and collaboration between different religious traditions are being created, contributing to strengthening a culture of peace, tolerance, and human encounter.
