This year, Holocaust Remembrance Day will once again be commemorated with a concert.
Following the Ghetto Swingers experience, the collaboration with the Giuseppe Verdi State Conservatory of Turin continues with a new concert organized in collaboration with the Waldensian Community of Turin.
The concert was conceived not only as a just and proper moment of commemoration, but also as a message of hope and brotherhood among peoples.
The inspiration comes from Radu Mihaileanu’s film “Train de vie,” specifically a scene in which, having overcome mutual distrust, Gypsies and Jews play, dance, and rejoice together, accompanied by the music of Goran Bregović.
Commemoration, homage, and a message of hope are the objectives of this concert, which for these reasons was titled “Musique de Vie.”
In a historical period marked by profound difficulties, the initiative aims to reaffirm the importance of encounter, sharing, and artistic expression as tools for dialogue and unity.
The concert will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 9:00 pm at the Waldensian Temple in Turin.
The event is organized with the Waldensian Community of Turin, in collaboration with the Giuseppe Verdi State Conservatory of Turin, and under the patronage of the Jewish Community of Turin, the Resistance and Constitution Committee of the Piedmont Regional Council, the City of Turin, and the Eighth District.
Greetings from Dario Disegni, President of the Jewish Community of Turin; Domenico Ravetti, Vice President of the Piedmont Regional Council and President of the Committee on Resistance and Constitution of the Piedmont Region; and Rosanna Purchia, Councilor for Culture, City of Turin.
