Historical-religious cycle 2025-2026

The Historical-Religious Cycle is becoming a benchmark for Jewish-Christian cultural dialogue in Turin and throughout Italy, in collaboration with schools and universities. After addressing the European and Italian demands for Jewish and Waldensian freedom and emancipation between the 19th and 20th centuries in the previous Cycle (2024-2025), the 13th Historical-Religious Cycle (2025-2026) will explore the 20th century.
Within the context of Italian, European, and global historical events, attention will be focused on the interpersonal dimension of 20th-century Jewish-Christian relations (whether collaborative or conflicting). In line with the overall objective of “Educating about difference, contributing to integration, training for participation,” the project is aimed at the general public (teachers, secondary school and university students, cultural workers, interlocutors interested in interreligious cultural dialogue, citizens of all levels, and seniors and retirees).
The theme of this series is “Relationships, Harmonies, Contrasts. Jewish-Christian Dialogues in the Twentieth Century.”
The next lecture is entitled “Thomas Mann and the Bible: The Tetralogy of Joseph and His Brothers” and will be taught by Massimo Bonifazio and Chiara Pilocane.

The complete program is availabe at this link.
The meetings will be held in person and will subsequently be available on the website www.aectorino.org and on the YouTube channels of AEC Torino and the Jewish Community.
