On Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., the Vivaldi Auditorium of the National University Library of Turin will host “Io ricordo,” an intense and moving theatrical performance inspired by the life of Senator Liliana Segre, a symbolic figure in the memory of the Holocaust and a firsthand witness to deportation to the Nazi extermination camps.
The initiative is part of the calendar of cultural activities dedicated to historical memory, with a particular focus on transmitting the values of awareness, responsibility, and civic engagement to new generations.
I Remember is a production by the Alma Rosé Theatre Company, which offers a faithful and respectful narration of Liliana Segre’s human story. The dramaturgy is constructed from documentary and book sources, offering audiences a profound testimony that combines historical rigor and emotion.
The show, conceived by Manuel Ferreira and Elena Lolli, features Elena Lolli, and is directed by Claudio Orlandini. The staging stands out for its simplicity and evocative power, entrusting words and stage presence with the task of giving voice to memory, trauma, and the need to never forget.
The theatrical performance will be accompanied by an exhibition of archival documents and printed volumes belonging to the collection of the National University Library of Turin, selected for their connection to the memory of the Holocaust.
This integration of live performance and historical documentation offers the audience a complete cultural experience, capable of connecting the emotion of theater with the concreteness of archival and bibliographic sources.
The event will be introduced by greetings from:
