“Primo Levi, friends, acquaintances, discrimination”
Now in its 13th year, the Historical-Religious Cycle is becoming a benchmark for Jewish-Christian cultural dialogue in Turin and throughout Italy, in collaboration with schools and universities. After addressing the European and Italian demands for Jewish and Waldensian freedom and emancipation between the 19th and 20th centuries in the previous Cycle (2024-2025), the 13th Historical-Religious Cycle (2025-2026) will explore the 20th century.
This year, ten public lectures will be held from October 2025 to May 2026, led by university professors and open to the public. The theme of this series is “Relationships, Harmonies, Contrasts. Jewish-Christian Dialogues in the Twentieth Century.” The inaugural lecture, “Primo Levi, Friends, Acquaintances, Discrimination,” will take place at the Circolo dei Lettori (while all the others will be held at the Jewish Community of Turin) and will be given by Roberta Mori and Fabio Levi.
The complete program is availabe at this link.
The meetings will be held in person and will subsequently be available on the website www.aectorino.org and on the YouTube channels of AEC Torino and the Jewish Community.
