On Monday, May 18, the Jewish Community of Turin will host a meeting dedicated to the development of Hebrew language and literature in the Middle Ages, with a broad perspective from translations from Arabic to the Age of Enlightenment.
Professor Michael Ryzhik—exceptionally in Turin to study materials from the Terracini Archives in collaboration with the Chair of Hebrew Language and Literature at the University of Turin—will guide the audience through the major linguistic and cultural transformations that have shaped Hebrew literary production, highlighting the fundamental role of translations and exchanges between different intellectual traditions.
Chiara Pilocane will introduce and moderate the event, guiding participants through a moment of reflection and exploration of a central theme in Jewish cultural history.

The event will take place at the Jewish Community of Turin (Piazzetta Primo Levi, 12), from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

The event poster is available.
