The Federation of Jewish Cultural Associations (F.A.C.E.) and its Archive (1924-1937)
The conference will focus on the history of the Federation of Italian Jewish Cultural Associations (F.A.C.E.), founded in 1924 with the aim of promoting and disseminating Italian Jewish cultural heritage through conferences, publications, theatrical and musical events, and study and documentation initiatives.
The conference will also offer an opportunity to explore the valuable documentary and photographic archive of F.A.C.E., housed at the “Tullia Zevi” National Library of Italian Judaism and recently reorganized, inventoried, restored, and digitized by the Foundation for Jewish Cultural Heritage in Italy.
Scholars and experts in Jewish history, art, architecture, and culture will present their work, offering new perspectives on a significant chapter in Italian cultural history.
The conference will also be livestreamed on the Facebook and YouTube channels of the Foundation for Jewish Cultural Heritage in Italy and on the website www.ucei.it.
Attached is the poster and complete program of the meeting.
