At the heart of memory: archives, libraries and the desire to preserve

Meeting promoted by the Foundation for Jewish Cultural Heritage in Italy as part of Più libri più liberi, the National Fair of Small and Medium-Sized Publishing, at the Lazio Region space at the Rome Convention Center.
The event will offer a moment of reflection on the role of archives and libraries as living places, custodians of identities, and witnesses to the historical and cultural memory of communities. Not simply collections of papers or volumes, but spaces for storytelling, where the responsibility of preservation intertwines with the profound desire to protect and pass on.
The initiative will feature presentations by Baruch Lampronti, Director of the Terracini Jewish Archives and researcher at the Foundation for Jewish Cultural Heritage in Italy, and Keren Perugia, archivist and librarian at the “Tullia Zevi” National Library of Italian Judaism. Introductions will be given by Diletta Cesana, director of the “Tullia Zevi” Library.
