With the passing of Aldo Liscia (z.l.), the Jewish Community of Turin has lost its distinguished elder—a man of profound moral and intellectual stature. Until shortly before his departure, he was a near-weekly presence at the synagogue for Shabbat services, and frequently attended cultural events at the Community Center. In 2022, at the age of 101, he was honored with the title of *Chatan Torah*—a gesture of deep esteem and gratitude, which he accepted with great joy.

We will always remember him with deep affection and emotion, cherishing his wisdom, his delightful personality, his wit, and the wonderful stories he shared with us over the years about his extraordinary life and his memories of Livorno—the city of his birth, to which he remained profoundly attached, and which now receives him for his eternal rest.
Sia la Sua memoria di benedizione per tutti noi.

On October 27, 2026, my father, Aldo Liscia, passed away in Turin. He was 105 years old. It is difficult to explain what it means to lose a father when you are nearly seventy-nine yourself. I was fortunate enough to have him by my side throughout my childhood, youth, adulthood, and finally, in my later years. By Roberto Liscia.
