The presentation of Gabriele Segre’s book *La fine della fine della storia. Abitare la scomodità del mondo* (Bollati Boringhieri)—organized by the Circolo dei Lettori, the Jewish Community of Turin, the Luxemburg bookstore, and the Collegio Carlo Alberto—drew a large audience, packing the Circolo dei Lettori’s main hall to capacity.
The author engaged in a discussion with Dario Fabbri—founder and editor-in-chief of the monthly geopolitics magazine *Domino*—covering the book’s many themes (and more), skillfully prompted by questions from Simone Disegni. Topics included the relationship between the West (itself not a monolith) and the rest of the world, shattered illusions, our inability to process grief, the difficulty of ending wars, shifting identities that make self-recognition a struggle, and much more. The author and his interlocutors demonstrated a fascinating ability to grasp phenomena in all their complexity, embracing the entire world in a comprehensive vision that rejects any temptation to trivialize or oversimplify reality.
The video of the event will be available soon.
