On Thursday, May 14th, the second, third, and fourth grades of the elementary school visited the Turin International Book Fair. Like every year, the Fair’s organizers reserved many spaces for children and young adults, including presentations, meetings, and workshops. Our boys and girls participated in several workshops, starting with reading picture books. The fourth graders had a truly grown-up experience: attending a real Fair conference, they were able to meet the authors who won the Campiello Junior Prize.
The children showed great enthusiasm in participating in the event and were delighted to wander among the stands. They wandered around the Fair with wide eyes and attentive gazes, captivated by the colors of the book covers and the wonder of being surrounded by so many books. Leafing through the pages and comics, they were captivated by the magic of the stories and the smell of new books.
Finally, the classes had the wonderful opportunity to choose books to purchase for our library, thanks to the “reading vouchers” donated by the Fair.
