Acqui Terme<\/h2><\/div>

The presence of a Jewish community in Acqui dates back to the second half of the 15th century.<\/b> Various ups and downs marked the life of the small community, which from 1731 was forced to reside in the ghetto.<\/b> Approximately 180 people, with numbers expected to increase, were thus forced to live in a small neighborhood near the Acqua Bollente fountain.
\nThe Synagogue, renovated in 1888 and abandoned and dismantled in the 1960s,<\/b> was located under the Saracco porticoes. From the second half of the 19th century, the Albertine emancipation allowed the approximately 500 inhabitants to exercise their civil and religious rights on a par with other citizens. <\/p>\n<\/div>
