The presentation of Gabriele Segre<\/strong>\u2019s book *La fine della fine della storia. Abitare la scomodit\u00e0 del mondo<\/em>* (Bollati Boringhieri)\u2014organized by the Circolo dei Lettori, the Jewish Community of Turin, the Luxemburg bookstore, and the Collegio Carlo Alberto\u2014drew a large audience, packing the Circolo dei Lettori\u2019s main hall to capacity.
\nThe author engaged in a discussion with Dario Fabbri<\/strong>\u2014founder and editor-in-chief of the monthly geopolitics magazine *Domino<\/em>*\u2014covering the book\u2019s many themes (and more), skillfully prompted by questions from Simone Disegni<\/strong>. Topics included the relationship between the West (itself not a monolith) and the rest of the world, shattered illusions, our inability to process grief, the difficulty of ending wars, shifting identities that make self-recognition a struggle, and much more. The author and his interlocutors demonstrated a fascinating ability to grasp phenomena in all their complexity, embracing the entire world in a comprehensive vision that rejects any temptation to trivialize or oversimplify reality.
