On the occasion of the exhibition “Journey to Italy. Discovering Jewish Cultural Heritage” the MEIS is offering a series of free events, “Shots of History” in its bookshop (Via Piangipane 81, Ferrara): lectures dedicated to the great masters of photography who, through their lenses, have captured crucial moments in Italian and international history and social change.
On December 4th at 5:30 pm, a profile will be given of Roman Vishniac, a Russian biologist and photographer whose unique photographs captured the lives of Eastern European Jews before the Holocaust.
The meetings are free and will continue into 2026.
Reservations are strongly recommended by calling +39 342 5476621 (Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm) or by emailing eventi.meis@orologionetwork.it.
