Dimore di luce. The Contemporaneity of Jewish Art

The exhibition “Dimore di luce. La Contemporaneità dell’Arte Giudaica,” curated by Ermanno Tedeschi, opened on Sunday, October 12, in the Sala Carmi of the Casale Monferrato Jewish Museums, thanks to the hospitality of the Casale Ebraica Foundation ETS and the Jewish Community of Casale Monferrato.
The exhibition, for the first time in Italy, presents works by Alysson Feit, an internationally renowned architect and designer who, for several years, has pursued an original artistic journey linked to Judaic art.
The artist’s work focuses on Hebrew letters and forms, interpreted as vehicles of spirituality and beauty. Her research draws inspiration from blessings, particularly the Birkat HaBayit—the traditional “Blessing of the House.” This ancient Hebrew text, often placed at the entrance to homes, invokes protection, peace, and prosperity for those who live there and those who enter.
