with Sarai Shavit
A three-part journey dedicated to discovering the Hebrew language as a living legacy of history, thought, and culture. “Letters Through Time” invites the public to embark on an intellectual journey into the beating heart of Hebrew, exploring its origins, evolution, and the profound symbolic value that continues to influence the contemporary world today.
Through engaging and interdisciplinary encounters, Sarai Shavit will guide participants through philosophy, linguistics, and tradition, addressing fascinating questions: How did the Hebrew alphabet originate?
What ideas and schools of thought have accompanied its development over the centuries?
How does the structure of the Hebrew language differ from that of Latin, and why do scholars and intellectuals continue to consider it a privileged key to understanding culture, identity, and history?
The meetings will be held on May 11th and 18th, and on June 1st, at 6:00 PM, at Via Pietro Micca 15, Turin – Staircase A, first floor.
A small aperitif will follow each meeting, offering an informal opportunity for discussion and sharing among participants.
An initiative by the Camis De Fonseca Association dedicated to those who wish to explore the richness of the Hebrew language and its extraordinary cultural universe.
The event poster is available.
