A story of passion and talent

The Jewish Community of Turin hosts a screening of the documentary “Una Mole di Lavoro,” directed by Marino Bronzino, a powerful tale that intertwines historical memory, ingenuity, and determination.
The film begins with a dramatic event: May 23, 1953, when a violent tornado shattered the spire of the Mole Antonelliana, a symbol of the city of Turin. From that moment, an extraordinary story was born: that of Giulio Gonnet, the man who, over the course of three years, managed to lead the complex reconstruction of the spire, restoring one of the city’s most iconic monuments.
Through testimonies, archival materials, and narrative reconstructions, the documentary recounts not only a technical feat, but also a human story of skill, vision, and dedication. “Una Mole di Lavoro” thus becomes a tribute to the ability to face difficulties and transform them into opportunities, enhancing cultural and historical heritage.
